Gun control advocates will be energized by the latest tragedy. Expect proposals from State and Federal legislations to: ban magazines over 10 rounds, impose additional taxes on ammunition, ban Modern Sporting Rifles (they will be referred to by the misnomer assault rifles), ban handguns, allow the EPA to regulate gun ranges, make firearm gifts to family members illegal, make firearm inheritance illegal, ban gun shows, declare business that sell firearms nuisances and subject them to more restrictions, register all gun owners in a Federal database, confiscate all registered firearms into the National Amory, make firearm possession (except for law enforcement and professional security) illegal. After swabbing the sides of the cut-out of a .357 Magnum ported barrel, I had another one of those “It was so simple, like the Jitter bug, it plum eluded me” moments.
Response to Michael Bloomberg’s “Obama didn’t kill coal; the market did” Bloomberg extolls the EPA Clean Power Plan and I disagree with his analysis on many levels.
The final event is not coming until November 8, 2016. The selection process for the major party candidates is already underway. The fact (according to Nielsen data) that Thursday nights Republican Presidential Primary Candidate Debate, was watched by 24 million viewers is an encouraging sign that Citizens are paying attention.
