The Freedom Trail in Boston MA is a path past 16 historically significant locations and buildings. The trail is 2.5 miles long. It starts at the Visitors Center on the Boston Common and end at theBunker Hill Momument.
I visited with my family on a day late in September, which is not the height of the tourist season. Rather than striking out on our own along the brick and red painted Freedom Trail, we wanted an initial guided tour to get some familiarization with this area of Boston.
There are actually three different tours available through The Freedom Trail Foundation. (thefreedomtrail.org) The Walk Into History Tour, The Reverse Walk Into History Tour, and the North End Tour. The Walk Into History on the Freedom Trail guided tour at 11:00am was packed.
